Introduction
PIP My Manager is developed by Hi There Studio. This policy covers:
- the PIP My Manager browser extension (Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers)
- the public site and API at https://hithere.social/pipmymanager/
Single purpose
The extension’s single purpose is to let people leave structured manager reviews from a LinkedIn profile page using predefined comments, and to show a PIP index / leaderboard for the selected employer.
What we process
LinkedIn profile context (to submit a review). When you open the panel on a LinkedIn profile and submit a review, the extension reads on-page profile information needed for the review (for example name, experience employer/title/location, LinkedIn profile slug, and when available company or member identifiers). Your reviewer LinkedIn identity is sent to our API only as a one-way hash used to prevent duplicate reviews for the same manager and employer — it is never shown publicly.
Review content. Reviews use predefined comment templates only (no free-text body). Selected comments, points, employer, title, location, and optional contractor flag are stored on Hi There Studio servers so rankings can be computed and shown.
Local preferences. Language and UI preferences may be stored in the browser’s extension storage (chrome.storage / Edge equivalent). If you enable browser sync, the browser vendor may sync those preferences under their own policy.
No advertising ID / no sale of data. We do not sell personal information. We do not use review data for advertising.
Permissions
- storage — remember language / UI preferences on your device.
- activeTab / scripting — open or refresh the in-page drawer on the LinkedIn tab you are using.
- Host access to LinkedIn — run the content script on LinkedIn profile pages so the drawer and scrape can work.
- Host access to hithere.social — submit reviews and load templates / rankings from the PIP My Manager API.
The extension does not execute remote code. All extension JavaScript ships inside the package. The API returns data (templates, rankings), not executable scripts.
This website
The site at https://hithere.social/pipmymanager/ hosts the public rankings UI and this privacy page. Normal web server logs may be kept as needed to operate the service. We do not use the site for advertising tracking of your LinkedIn browsing.
Third parties
- Browser vendors (Google, Microsoft, etc.) provide the extension platform and optional sync.
- LinkedIn pages are read only in your browser session; we are not affiliated with LinkedIn.
- Reviews and rankings are hosted on Hi There Studio infrastructure for hithere.social.
Children
PIP My Manager is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be noted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
